Garage Sale page #2 of Campbell structures

There are two things that bring a premium dollar for a Fine Scale Miniature kit.

1. The imagination of character that stands out in the finished model. Fine scale miniature uses corrugated tin and profile shingles from Campbell Scale Models. Much of the siding material and wood trim is similar, so why can't a Campbell kit look very much like a Fine Scale Miniature kit?

2. Fine Scale Miniature kits come with a lot of detail parts. I have purchased detail parts from many sources as Fine Scale Miniatures has to make a Campbell kit look nearly as inviting.

Assembled kit # 369 Iowa School House

$150.00

The kit doesn't come with that white picket fence so I made my own board by board that did take some time.

The prototype is from a real school house built in Iowa and then latter moved to Knott's Berry Farm in California.

My model does have some basic interior detail that can be seen through the front door if you pick up the loose structure.

The kit currently sells for $68.44 but back in the days it sold for under $20.00 when the price of gasoline was only $0.18 cents a gallon.

 Assembled kit # 371 Matthew's Mercantile

The kit now sells for $69.52 and was one of those that sold for $20.00 forty years ago.

This model sells for $110.00

A structure like this belongs in a uptown scene so I never glue them down as I frequently move them around for new scenes.

 Assembled kit #372

Assembled kit #373 Corrugated Warehouse Diorama

The kit now sells for $48.67 that is just for the structure. Campbell showed it at a show as an example of what could be done with their scratch building supplies. The public liked it so much that Leo made it into a kit.

I made mine into a diorama with a perimeter fence from the same corrugated metal to close in the scene. I have included all the detail parts and figures to give the scene activity and would sell it also for $100.00
